Aug 3 - Going home tomorrow

Aug 3rd - While Kyle's gross and fine motor skills have improved by leaps and bounds in the past three weeks his feeding has not. We are going home tomorrow still 100% tube fed. We are hoping to get a new speech therapist at home and set up occupational therapy services at home as well to continue to work on the feedings.

Since Kyle does love putting things in his mouth and explore them I am going to but a bunch of different sippy cups for him to play with and hopefully "accidentally" chew and drink out sometime. He started doing some of that the past few days but I think the cup they use here is too big (or too tall rather) for him to accidentally chew on so I have been searching for the smallest sippy cup possible for him to play with and think that it's just a toy.

Last night we took Kyle out to the local shoe store to get properly fitted for some sneakers for him to wear when he's in the stander. He's been wearing loaner shoes that are either too big or too small and since we don't have anything shoes for him at home either we thought it was time to get him his first pair of shoes that actually fit. It was also the first time we took him anywhere other than doctor's appointments. I think he enjoyed the outing for he most part!

Kyle has been wearing size 4 diapers for the past two weeks and it looks like we should have made the switch months ago!

Look how great I'm sitting!
Can't be more upright than this!
Night night for Kyle
